Below, you'll find extensive information on leading
twitter for business articles and products to help you on your way
to success.
What On Earth Is Twitter? By A Wolski Twitter could basically be described as a microblog that is taking the internet by storm. It is the fastest growing website on the internet and signs up around ten thousand new users per day.
There is a limit of 140 characters each time you make an entry but you will be surprised how much you can fit into that amount. As you become more practiced, it will become like second nature.
However, is a lot more than that. It is like a huge global chatroom where you can follow a mere few or you can follow thousands of twitterers. Obviously, the more you follow the harder it will be to keep up with them all. It’s a great way to meet people online, especially people who share your interests.
Setting up an account on is easy but there are some things to be aware of in order to improve your experience on Twitter.
Firstly, go to the home page of to sign up for an account. This is where you register or, if you already have an account, it is where you log in. The registration process is self explanatory and very simple.
It isn’t mandatory to use your own name when you sign up but it is advisable so that nobody can impersonate you. If you want to register a business on Twitter, you can. However, you need to use your proper name in the sign up process so that your name is identifiable as being connected with the business.
The system will allow you to add any of your friends to your lists. It will also offer you a list of people
that you may like to follow. You can choose to follow some or all of these or simply build your own list of friends.
You will then go to your settings page which is very important on Twitter. This is where you will find all of your information you submitted on joining and where you also add further information that helps others to find you and makes you someone of interest to follow on Twitter.
You have 160 characters in your bio. Use these carefully to ‘sell’ yourself. This is where you put a description of yourself. If there are any characters left over, you could add some keywords in order for the search engines to find you. Use keywords that relate to your bio so that you come up in search results.
Next, enter your website or blog and be sure to add the http:// to the address. People also search for people by location so it is important to put your location in. This is because some people prefer to follow locals.
A note here worth mentioning is that with the overabundance of client applications out there, many people don't even look at your web page anymore. Still, it is one factor of your presence on and is worth doing well.
Well, that's it for the setup. The last thing to do now is to click on Home at the top of the screen and send your first Tweet. Something like, “Hi, I've just joined and am looking forward to meeting interesting people” is a good first one to send. Just type it in and click the Update button
