Do Affiliates Programs, On-line Biz Work For People In Asia?
Do Affiliates Programs, On-line biz work for people in Asia?

I am from Singapore.

My experiences when trying to promote affiliate programs or on line biz here always meet with skepticisms of the highest level!

Main concerns are:

1. How do they get paid? Right now, I can only talk about clickbank and paypal. Are there any others? Useable in Singapore?

2. Many programs claim easy steps to create the site, promote and then wait for money to flow in. Not many can help in Promoting Successfully and personally I'd tried even buying 'good' leads highly recommended by my sponsors and nothing work, yet.

But I have also the feeling that affiliate programs are more popular in the US and Europe, also because the products they offer seem to be more popular there. But in the end, does it really matter that you are in Singapore and your clients somewhere else?

If you want to attract more people from Asia, would it be an idea to have a website that has more of a local flavor? In general, most of the affiliate sites shout their products out, which is fine when your audience is used to that. It has also crossed my mind to have a second website to attract a different target group.

I

have recently attended an Internet Business Seminar in Singapore. One of the interesting things that struck me was, Asia's total transactions in terms of Dollars is catching up with US and Europe combined. In fact, some surveys declared that Asia's on line spending is now 53% of the total!

This figures really excited me. The market has been growing exponentially in Asia. China is by far the greatest market, following closely by South (Surprised?) with Japan a distant 3rd. Even though the bulk of the businesses is B2B, B2Cs volume have been increasing at a rate of 1300% for the past 3 years. This is surely a good market for affiliate marketing and on-line businesses, isn't it?

I cannot help but notice that these countries do not use English much. India is expecting to be the next big player within the next 3 years.

So, coming back to the question: Do Affiliates Programs, On-line Biz work for people in Asia now? Or do we have to wait for India to arrive? Are there ebooks been translated to Chinese or Korean or Japanese?

Anyone out there can offer some REAL tips and answers?
