Dianabol

Dianabol was first created by Dr. John Ziegler to help US weightlifters compete on level pegging with Russian weightlifters that were using testosterone to enhance their performance. Unlike other anabolic steroids, Dianabol was specifically synthesised for use by professional weightlifters. Chemically, Dianabol is known as Methandrostenolon and like all anabolic Dianabol is a direct derivative of testosterone. Dianabol is currently banned in the US and all European Union countries. Dianabol is also banned by major sports authorities. Dianabol is mainly produced in Russia, Thailand and Mexico (where it is sold under the brand name Reforvit-b) and can be consumed orally or injected. Interestingly, Dianabol is believed to be the super drug used by Nazis in an attempt to create a super soldier.
Like most anabolic steroids, Dianabol induces accelerated muscle growth and is used by body builders to increase muscle mass in a limited period of time. Since Dianabol is banned by sports authorities, only amateur body builders and weightlifters prefer using Dianabol. Once athletes have attained the required muscle mass they usually give up using Dianabol. Popular personalities like Arnold Schwarzenegger have admitted using Dianabol in their younger age. Dianabol is usually consumed in tandem with drugs like Oxandrolone to increase its overall effectiveness. Unlike naturally occurring anabolic steroids, Dianabol does not increase stamina as it was designed to increase muscle mass.
Dianabol is not synthesised by the human body and is therefore not easily metabolized. The FDA has banned Dianabol for its hepato-toxicity and liver failure is one of the most common side effects of prolonged Dianabol use. Dianabol users also suffer cosmetic side effects like acne and balding. Female weightlifters are discouraged from using anabolic (Dianabol in particular), Dianabol causes development
of male characters like facial hair and deepening of voice in Females. Additional side effects of Dianabol include excessive water retention and gynaecomastia (development of male breasts).
Although there is a ban on using and buying Dianabol, Dianabol is easily available throughout the US. Since Dianabol is legally mass produced in countries like Mexico, Mexico is unwillingly one of the leading sources for Dianabol in the US. Since the toxicity of Dianabol is known to most bodybuilders, Dianabol is usually used as a ‘bridge’ drug. The term ‘bridge drug’ indicates that Dianabol is used between drug use cycles for limited periods of time. For example, a body builder using Andro on a bi-monthly basis can chose to use Dianabol before he starts using another drug or before he starts another cycle of Andro. In essence, Dianabol is not a frequent use drug and is used for a limited period of time.
Dianabol is contraband in the US, yet it is easily available and the demand for anabolic like Dianabol is on the rise. Each year anabolic account for nearly 1 billion dollars worth of purchases in the US. In most cases body builders are aware of the side effects of drugs like Dianabol but believe that the decision to use such drugs should eventually be left to the individual and not the government.
